Do I have to play my action cards?
You can keep them in your hands if you like, but try to get rid of them before the end of the game or you will lose points.
When do I play a drop card?
As soon as you pick it up.
How do I play an action?
Generally, when an action is played, it is placed into the discard pile. But if you are getting confused between discarding and playing, you can play a card on the table, and once the action is complete, you can put it in the discard pile.
What happens if the game is tied?
The dog with the most Tree Trunk Cards wins.
In the case of a second tie, both dogs must stand on one leg. The dog to put their leg down first loses.
What if I don’t have any actions to play at the end of the game?
You have the choice to pass and not play any cards.
What if someone asks for a card and I don’t have it?
The action is wasted. In fact, at any point in the game, if you don’t have a card relating to the Action or Drop Card, you don’t have to do anything.
What happens when the last card in the deck is drawn?
The dog who draws the last card ends their turn. Then everyone else must make their last move one by one. The game ends when the dog that picked up the last card plays their last move.
Bark
Who can play the Bark Card and when?
Any dog can play the Bark Card at any time for any action other than the Drop Cards, and 3 Poles. However, it is only effective before an action comes into play. You can Bark a Bark. You can’t Bark a card that is being discarded.
In the case of Poopsy / Angry Cat, does the Bark Card save only me or everyone?
Play the Bark Card right after someone puts down the Poopsy or Angry Cat Card and you will save everyone.
What happens if someone barks an action at the same time as the action has taken place?
You can bark an action before the action is completed. So for instance if someone plays Poopsy card, and no one has given up their Fire Hydrant yet, you can Bark that action. If someone barks it as a card is being handed over and the card has not reached the other player’s hand, then the bark still applies.
Fetch
Can I Fetch a Drop Card?
Yes, but the Drop Card must be played immediately. Fetching and playing a Drop Card will count as 1 move.
Challenge
If I win a Challenge, do I get to make a Territory Card immune?
Yes, the card that you used to win the Challenge becomes Immune.
What if a Challenge is tied?
All the dogs with the highest cards get to make their territory card immune.
When do I use my immune Territory Card after winning a challenge?
At the end of the game when the total points are being tallied.
Belly Rub
Which card do I put down if I forget to rub my belly?
Any card you want.
What if I forgot to rub my belly and no one noticed?
You got away scot-free, you sneaky rascal!
Does drawing Belly Rub the second time count as a move?
Yes.
If I forget to rub my belly and I’ve already picked up a card, what do I do next?
You must discard a card from your hand first. You cannot discard the card you picked up. lf the card you picked is a Drop Card, you can play the related action after discarding a card.
Bad Dog
What if I pick up Bad Dog, but have no territory cards?
The card is wasted.
